Telehealth (Online) Therapy

Telehealth (Online) Therapy

Telehealth speech therapy involves delivering speech and language therapy services online, using videocall. This can be an alternative to face-to-face speech therapy when you’re unable to attend our clinic due to travel, distance, or when your or your child are unwell.

Online sessions can involve

  • Assessment: We are able to assess your child’s speech and language abilities through video call, where the we interacts with your child and observe their communication skills. We are also able to use assessment tools via an online platform to assess communication.
  • Therapy Sessions: Sessions are live, real-time sessions conducted via video call. We engage your child in various activities and exercises designed to improve their speech and language skills and incorporate interactive tools such as digital games, and visuals to make the sessions engaging and effective.
  • Training and Support: Parents are often involved in the therapy process. Sessions incorporate guidance and training to parents on how to support your child’s progress at home. This might include strategies for practicing speech exercises and creating a conducive environment for communication. We also regularly use telehealth to meet with parents to discuss your child’s progress, set new goals, and provide training.

Telehealth speech therapy is an effective alternative way to support child’s communication goals. Get in touch with us if you would like your child to attend telehealth speech therapy.
